Indefinite pronouns

We make indefinite pronouns by joining any/some/every/no with one/body/thing.
In other words: nothing, everything, something, anybody, somebody, someone, nobody, everyone etc.

Indefinite pronouns always take a singular verb.

Example:

  • Is everything all right?
  • There is somebody in the garden.
  • Nobody knows her.

Write the correct form of the verb in brackets in these sentences. Write the verb in the present tense.

  1. Everyone Fred. (know)
  2. Unfortunately nobody him. (like)
  3. Everything fine now. (be)
  4. Nothing gone wrong so far, anyway. (have)
  5. Somebody waiting to see you, doctor. (be)
  6. Nobody to be the person that everybody . (want, criticize)
