Media and Communication is a vocationally oriented programme in upper secondary school. If you complete the programme you can become an apprentice photographer or media graphics artist. You can also earn general university admission certification by taking a third year of the Media and Communication programme.
The programme has three subject areas: Media Design, Media Production and Media Communication. You are trained in design, and you learn to create your own media products in the areas of web design, graphic production, film, radio, newspaper and sound production. You can also choose to specialise in text, sound or image. The media subject is broad, and the content of the educational programme varies from school to school.
If you decide to study Media and Communication, you should have creative talent and like to communicate with others, both in writing and orally. You should also be interested in ICT and digital technology.
